Protocols — what the shop actually does

Touring is a finite list. We work feeder, distros, paralleled gensets, rigging-class circuits, broadcast technical power, and NEC 525 temporary service. Anything outside that — house wiring, residential service, EV chargers — we refer out to the Nashville locals we trust. Below is the catalog as a programme-book Table of Contents; the full index sits at /protocols/.

P-01

From the tour archive — featured this issue

Each tour is filed as a programme-book centerfold with a node-link distro diagram, a stage plot, a cue-by-cue power log, and a credits card. Four are featured in this issue; the rest sit at /tours/.

From the editor

“If you can name the cable you laid this morning, count the breakers you set, time-stamp every cue-out, and walk the venue with the AHJ before doors — the show goes. Everything else is talk.”

The feeder graph — house service to fixture, every cable named

Every show begins with a topology drawing: where the venue’s service comes in, how the 4/0 feeder is split at the head-end distro, which leg feeds lighting, which audio, which video. We render every advance as a node-link diagram patterned on WaterwayMap.org’s topological view of river networks — the venue’s service is the trunk; the distros are the confluences; branch circuits are the rills. It is the same physics, drawn the same way.
